RV Lodges is committed to preventing modern slavery, human trafficking, forced labour, and exploitation in all areas of our business and supply chains. We recognise our responsibility under the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and are dedicated to acting ethically and with integrity in all our operations.
1. Our Business
RV Lodges provides luxury lodge accommodation in Guisborough, North Yorkshire.
Although we are a small business and not legally required to publish an annual modern slavery statement under Section 54 of the Act, we uphold the principles of transparency and ethical conduct.
2. Our Commitment
We are committed to:
Ensuring there is no modern slavery or human trafficking in our business or supply chains
Conducting business in a manner that protects the rights and dignity of all individuals
Working only with suppliers who share our values
Promoting awareness among staff and contractors
3. Our Supply Chains
Our supply chains may include:
Cleaning and maintenance services
Laundry and linen suppliers
Building, repair, and construction contractors
IT, website, and booking system providers
Utility and service providers
We expect all suppliers and partners to operate ethically, legally, and transparently.
4. Risk Assessment & Due Diligence
To reduce the risk of modern slavery, we take the following steps:
Engage only reputable suppliers and contractors
Conduct basic due diligence checks (e.g., business legitimacy, reputation, compliance)
Review suppliers periodically to ensure continued alignment with ethical standards
Avoid doing business with any individual or organisation known or suspected to be involved in modern slavery practices
For higher-risk services (e.g., cleaning or manual labour), we take additional care to ensure individuals are working voluntarily and are treated fairly.
5. Staff Awareness & Responsibilities
Although RV Lodges operates with a small team, we ensure that:
All staff are aware of the signs of modern slavery
Staff know how to report concerns internally
Recruitment practices are fair, transparent, and compliant with UK employment law
No staff member is required to pay recruitment fees or work against their will
We do not employ individuals under 16 and strictly prohibit any form of forced or bonded labour.
6. Reporting Concerns
We encourage staff, suppliers, and guests to report any concerns related to modern slavery or human trafficking.
Reports can be made confidentially via:
Email: info@rvlodges.co.uk

All reports will be investigated promptly and sensitively. We will take appropriate action, which may include notifying authorities.
7. Supplier Expectations
We expect suppliers and contractors to:
Comply with the Modern Slavery Act 2015
Ensure fair wages and safe working conditions
Prevent forced, involuntary, or underage labour
Maintain transparent and ethical recruitment processes
Where suppliers are found not to meet these standards, we may terminate the relationship.
